News on PR
Pulmonary rehabilitation, also called pulmonary rehab or PR, is a program that includes multiple specialists. Including respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and physician oversight.
Our program helps improve the well-being of people who have chronic (ongoing) breathing problems, muscle weakness, muscle atrophy and reduced ability to function with everyday activities. The program also may help relieve your breathing problems. Even if you have advanced lung disease, you can still benefit.
A physician’s referral is needed to be evaluated for PT, OT and RT and you can find a copy of our referral under the referral tab. Patients meet with our rehab team to review their medical history and goals for the program. Together with your physician, they will develop a plan to help the patient reach his/her highest potential.
